EGEDA–the Audiovisual Producers' Rights Management Association and the Latin American Training Center offer a technical training Seminar for Professional Producers in Brazil
EGEDA and LATC in collaboration with the Embassy of France in Brazil and Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival, with the co-sponsorship of the MEDIA Program of the European Commission, have joined to offer a technical and intensive training for Latin American producers in the aim of promoting working relationships and co-production opportunities between them and European producers. The seminar approaches issues such as: project development, international co-productions, financing resources in different countries, negotiation and contracting, producers' and distributors' rights of audiovisual contents, the appearance of new business models prompted by new technologies, and others. In addition to the two modules of direct participation the Seminar includes a third online module consisting of a two-month-long individualized tutoring provided by qualified European instructors. José Antonio Suárez is lecturer at the EGEDA-LATC Seminar providing his expertise on drafting and negotiating audiovisual contracts, especially those related to actors, directors, script-writers, musicians and composers, technicians and collective management rights.
